Check list:

  1. Solve problems involving present value \(P = \frac{{x\left( {1 - {{\left( {1 + i} \right)}^{ - n}}} \right)}}{i}\)  and future value \(F = \frac{{x\left( {{{\left( {1 + i} \right)}^n} - 1} \right)}}{i}\) annuities.
  2. Make use of logarithms to calculate the value of \(n\), the time period, in the equations \(A=P(1+i)^n\) or \(A=P(1-i)^n\).
  3. Critically analyse investment and loan options and make informed decisions as to best options(s) (including pyramid schemes).

Learn the concepts:

When you do this section, make sure you focus on what the question is asking. Get to know the terminology and how to use the formulae. If need to need to revise, why not spend some time going through the Grade 10 and Grade 11 sections.
